# Assigning courses

Who gets a course, and when it's due.

In **Course details**, choose a Discord role, or **Everyone**. People who gain that role later get the course too. Turn on **Required** to set how many days people have to finish.

When you publish, the course appears under **My learning** for everyone assigned. If it's required, the bot also messages them with a link, and again two days before it's due. For an optional course, share its link yourself, for example in a channel.
