# Signing in and your account

How Discord sign-in works, switching organizations, your devices, and downloading or deleting your data.

## Signing in with Discord

Go to **[crew.noyralabs.com/app](https://crew.noyralabs.com/app)** and click **Continue with Discord**. Discord asks you to let
Crew see:

- **your account**: your username, display name, avatar and banner;
- **your servers**: which servers you're in, so Crew can list your organizations;
- **your roles in those servers**: so Crew knows what you may do.

Crew never sees your Discord password or email address, and can't read your messages or act as you.

## Your organizations

After signing in you land on **Your organizations**: every server you're in that has Crew, with your
access level in each. Click one to open it.

- **Refresh servers** re-reads your servers from Discord, for example right after Crew was added
  somewhere.
- A server is only listed while you're a member of it and have some access there. If you leave the
server, it disappears from the list the next time you sign in.

## Switching organizations

Use the **organization switcher** in the top-left corner of the app to move between organizations.
Each one is completely separate: its own members, records, settings and permissions. Being a
Super User in one organization gives you nothing in another.

## How your access stays current

Your access level comes from your Discord roles, and Crew re-checks them with Discord every few
minutes while you use it. If someone removes your role in Discord, your access in Crew follows
shortly after, without anyone touching Crew.

### Confirming sensitive actions

Some actions need a **recent sign-in**: deleting someone's data, archiving the organization,
changing access or security settings, public sharing, API keys and webhooks. If you signed in more
than **15 minutes** ago, Crew asks you to sign in with Discord again before going ahead. This
protects you if someone else gets hold of an open browser.

## Your account

Open **Account settings** from the account menu (your avatar).

### Where you're signed in

Every browser where you're signed in is listed, with when it was last used. Click **Sign out other
devices** to end every session except this one.

Sessions end by themselves after **7 days without use**, and after **30 days** at most.

### Your data

- **Download my data** gives you a JSON file with everything Crew holds about you that you're allowed
to see, across all your organizations.
- **Delete my account** removes your Crew account: your profile, sessions and links to
  organizations.

> [!NOTE]
> Deleting your account doesn't delete the records an organization keeps about you, because they
> belong to that organization. Ask its Super Users to remove them, or email
> [legal@noyralabs.com](mailto:legal@noyralabs.com). See [Security, data and retention](/crew/security-and-data).

## Signing out

Use **Sign out** in the account menu. Signing out ends this browser's session immediately.
