# How anonymity works

What's kept, and what isn't.

- **Answers become totals.** When you send a pulse, your ratings are added to totals for your Discord role, and aren't stored with your name.
- **Who responded is kept apart.** Sensa records that you've responded, so it doesn't ask you again and can show participation. That record doesn't say what you answered.
- **Small groups stay hidden.** Results for a group appear only once at least 5 people in it have responded. If hiding one small group could still let someone work out its score, another group is hidden too.
- **Comments carry no name or group,** and show only the month they were sent, your dropdown choices, and your team if you send it to your team's manager.
- **Replies don't reveal you.** The link between you and your message is kept only on your device. If you lose that device or clear its data, you can't see replies any more.

## What anonymity can't do

Comments are shared word for word, so details you write could identify you. Leave out names, shift times and anything only you would know.
