How it works

When you run /ticket-setup, Docket posts a message to the channel where you invoke the command. The message contains a Create Ticket button. Any server member who can see that channel can click the button to start the ticket creation flow — selecting a ticket type and filling in a reason modal.

Tip: Each ticket type can be associated with multiple channels during /ticket-type create. A panel is posted to each selected channel automatically at creation time.

Post a panel

  1. Go to the Discord channel where you want the panel to appear
  2. Run /ticket-setup
  3. Docket sends the panel message immediately — you'll see the Create Ticket button appear in the channel

Warning: Docket must have Send Messages permission in the target channel. If the bot lacks permission the command will fail.

Pin the panel

Right-click the panel message in Discord and select Pin Message. This keeps it visible at the top of the channel so members can always find the button.

Tip: Put the panel in a read-only channel like #open-a-ticket or #support so members can click the button but cannot post other messages that push the panel out of view.

Multiple panels

You can run /ticket-setup in multiple channels. Each panel is independent — posting a new one does not remove existing ones. This is useful if you want a support button in different areas of your server, such as a general #support channel and a dedicated #vip-support channel.

Panels per ticket type

When you create a ticket type with /ticket-type create, the interaction flow asks you to select one or more channels. After you confirm, Docket automatically posts a panel to each of those channels — no need to run /ticket-setupseparately for each one.

Tip: Use this to route specific ticket types to dedicated channels. For example, a Billing type could post its panel only in #billing-support, keeping it separate from general support panels.
